What is your favorite Canadian bank?

What is your favorite Canadian bank and why did you choose it?

I have accounts with 2 of the big 5 Canadian banks, but I don't have a favorite one for sure. In reallity there is almost no competition between Canadian banks, and the big 5 get all the business. In my personal experince the customers service in both banks is terrible, and I've wasted countless hours trying to do simple banking transactions.

I totally agree with you! maybe the question should be which one of the 5 banks is the worst? I always get very frustrated when I have to call them to clarify something or to do some transactions over the phone. You can spend hours on the phone with them. It is like calling Rogers or Bell....

Don't have a favourite one but I have least favourite - Scotia bank!

Yeah, Scotiabank is really bad. I've never seen so rude and unprofessional customer service.

I had chequing account with CIBC, which I wasn't using, and it was a real pain to close it. I wouldn't recommend CIBC to anybody, especially considering their dire financial situation.

We don't have much choice, do we? We have only 5 major banks to chose from - TD Bank, Royal Bank, Bank of Montréal, Scotia Bank and CIBC... I would vote for Royal Bank. If I have to chose...
